Debit Card and Cash Management Account Rules

The Cash Management Account requires a minimum of $25,000 in equity and has no annual fee. Initial domestic and international overnight delivery fees are waived. Visa debit card services and any related banking features are provided by UMB Bank, N.A.

Debit card use and foreign transactions

The Cash Management Account includes a Visa debit card that supports direct deposit, purchases, ATM withdrawals, and cash advance transactions.

Note: When making a withdrawal at an ATM, please select 'Checking' as your account type to ensure the transaction is processed correctly.

A 3.00 percent foreign transaction fee applies to international purchases. If the account maintains $25,000 or more in equity, Firstrade reimburses the foreign transaction fee for the first foreign transaction each month. The reimbursement is credited back to the account one business day later.

International transaction limits do not apply in OFAC‑restricted or high‑risk countries.

Daily transaction limits

Daily purchase transactions are limited to $10,000 for domestic purchases and $2,500 for international purchases. ATM withdrawals are limited to $1,000 per day. Cash advances are limited to $2,500 per day for domestic transactions and $1,000 per day for international transactions.

Debit card fees and replacements

If a debit card needs to be replaced and sent by overnight delivery, the replacement fee is $45 for domestic addresses and $100 for international addresses. Copies of sales drafts are available for $15. Returned ACH items are subject to a $35 fee.

Check writing

Check‑writing services may be available with the Cash Management Account. Accounts with check‑writing privileges are subject to standard check‑related fees, including a $35 fee for returned checks and a $35 fee for stop payments. Check reorders range from $15 to $50, depending on the type of reorder, with additional charges for mailing, rush orders, or special handling.

Check writing is not available for international accounts.
