An IRA is a tax-deferred investment product for US citizens and legal residents. Transferring the IRA to another US based brokerage firm is initiated at the receiving firm.
Keep in mind that if you would like to transfer assets from a Firstrade IRA to another US based financial institution, Apex Clearing will charge a transfer fee of $50 for both full and partial account transfers.
Partial Transfers will require a remaining account value of $550 (with at least $50 in cash balance). Otherwise, a full Transfer should be requested.
