To transfer a Firstrade IRA to another U.S.-based financial institution, the transfer must be initiated by the receiving firm. Firstrade supports both ACATS and non‑ACATS IRA transfers.

ACAT Transfers
Full transfer: $50
Partial transfer: $55
Non‑ACAT Transfers
Full transfer: $75
Partial transfer: $55
Additional delivery fees may apply (for example, $25 for wire or $50 for overnight check).
Partial transfers must leave:
At least $550 in total account value
At least $55 in cash
If these requirements are not met, a full transfer must be requested.
