Options that Trade Until 4:15 pm Eastern Time (UTC-5)

Most options stop trading at the market close. However, some options trade 15 minutes after the market closes. The following options trade until 4:15 pm ET (UTC-5):

Complex option orders cannot be placed outside of the regular market hours of 9:30 am to 4:00 pm ET. Any open complex option day orders in the above symbols placed before 4:00 pm ET. will continue to receive/display order status updates until 4:15 pm ET., unless cancelled.

Exception for cash-settled index options

On the last trading day, expiring NDXP, RUTW, MRUT, SPXW, XSP, OEX & XEO options will trade until 4:00 pm ET, and non-expiring options will continue to trade until 4:15 pm ET. To learn more, please visit the CBOE website.
