What are the order limits for stock and options?

The maximum order limit for buying and selling stock is 100,000 shares.

The maximum opening order for buying Options is 1,000 contracts.

Same underlying symbol Option purchases allows for a maximum of 2,000 accumulated contracts.

Opening-position Option orders exceeding 50 contracts must be entered as a Limit Order.

Options trading during Extended hours must be entered as a Limit Order.

Same day expiring Option orders cannot be placed or edited within 2 hours of market close.

All un-executed (both Day Orders & GT90 Orders) same-day expiring opening-position option orders will be cancelled at 2:30PM EST.
